Gymnastics Seminar

We are so happy to announce that we will be hosting a 6 hour gymnastics seminar with Dr. Jamie Gold! (CrossFit Games athlete and coach of Fort Lauderdale Lions professional Grid team!) 

 

This seminar will give you the opportunity to learn and master some of the skills that are in our workouts on a weekly basis. These include pull-ups, toes to bar, handstand movements, and muscle up variations and progressions. 

 

Some specifics…..

DATE and TIME: Saturday, September 12th, 2020 8am - 3pm (This includes a one hour lunch break. Lunch provided by The Fit Life Meals at NO CHARGE)

 

COST: $100

ABOUT JAMIE:  “I grew up in Ohio where I started gymnastics at the age of 3. I went on to be a level 10 for 4 years and earned a full scholarship

at WVU and competed all 4 years. 

 

After college I got into CrossFit and ended up competing at the CF Games as an individual in 2011 & 2012. 

 

I graduated physical therapy school in 2014 with my doctorate and started working in outpatient therapy. I actually just opened my own clinic called The Box Doc that focuses on CrossFit athletes as well as the active adult population who want to remain active and pain free!”

 

ABOUT KATIE: Katie competed NCAA Division-1 gymnastics at Temple University from 2007-2012 where she graduated with her degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science.  She went on to win Temple’s first conference championship on beam, in addition, to three other conference titles on beam, floor and in the all-around.  Furthermore, she went on to break the school all-around record, and became the first NCAA regional qualifier in school history.  After graduation, Katie became an assistant coach at Central Michigan University.  Here, she coached vault and in 2013, assisted the team in winning their fourth consecutive Mid-American Conference Championship.  Then in 2014, she assisted the team to their fifth consecutive Mid-American Conference title, a feat that had never been accomplished in MAC history.  In 2014, she graduated with her master’s degree in sports administration. After graduating Katie went to coach club level gymnastics for 5 years.
